To the surprise of no one, both Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese made the WNBA All-Star Game as rookies this year after superb showings in the fan voting. But between the two, NBA legend Dwyane Wade is most looking forward to seeing Reese.  Taking to Instagram on Wednesday following the announcement of the All-Star teams, Wade offered his congratulations to everyone who made the team, but gave a special shoutout to Reese.   “Yall gonna listen when [Angel Reese] speaks. Congrats All!” Wade wrote on his Instagram Story.

Reese has been averaging 13.2 points and 11.8 rebounds per game this season, leading the team in rebounds in every game since June. At 7-11 on the season, Reese’s Chicago Sky team are inching their way towards a playoff berth.  Reese is widely seen as the frontrunner for Rookie of the Year with around half of the season still to play.  There’s still plenty of room for improvement in Reese’s game – but that only makes what she’s been able to do so far all the more interesting.  Dwyane Wade really might be onto something where he says “Y’all gonna listen when Angel Reese speaks.”

Will Reese wind up being the best player from the 2024 WNBA rookie class?

“Impact,” Wade posted.
