Andy Reid sends brutal five word message to Patrick Mahomes after latest brutal Kansas City Chiefs loss
LOSSES are stacking up for the Kansas City Chiefs and things are getting ugly behind the scenes. During media availability, Andy Reid publicly called out Patrick Mahomes for the team’s play calling.
During his press availability, Reid revealed what kind of plays he was running in the loss against the Denver Broncos. “We’re calling quite a few of the RPOs,” Reid said.
“Yesterday they were giving us quite a few opportunities to run the football. “So we utilized the opportunities there, and those things end up being as good as a run… we’re getting four-plus yards and then go with it.”

However, those plays didn’t seem to be working as the Chiefs fell to the Broncos 22-19. Based on his comments, it appears that Reid wishes more of those RPOs became runs instead of passes.
“The runs are being called,” Reid continued. “It’s just sometimes they get turned into passes in today’s world. You know that’s how it goes. “But we’re getting them in.”
The Chiefs managed just 62 rushing yards against a potent Broncos defense. Kareem Hunt did get into the end zone, but the Chiefs only scored two total touchdowns on the day.
The Broncos only scored one touchdown, but got five field goals from Wil Lutz totaling 15 points. Fans think Reid’s comments could be an indication that the chemistry is falling apart in Kansas City, and they shared their thoughts on social media.
“All the losing is taking a toll on old man Andy,” another fan said. “Mahomes will force Andy out and then never reach that level again in KC,” a third fan said.
“They have ignored the RB position when it has been a glaring problem for a few years now,” a fourth fan said. “I hope Mahomes asks for a trade,” a fifth fan said.
