Andy Reid makes final retirement decision over his NFL future after Kansas City Chiefs suffer 2025 disaster

THE Kansas City Chiefs aren’t overreacting to their disaster season.  Despite missing the playoffs for the first time in a decade, Andy Reid won’t lose his job.

According to NFL insider Mike Garafolo, Reid will not retire as head coach of the Kansas City Chiefs.  This comes after the Chiefs lost to the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, dropping their record to 6-9 on the season.

Still, the Chiefs believe this season was more of a fluke than a sign that the team is falling apart.  The first thing to do to ensure everything stays the same is to retain the head coach.

However, not everyone is convinced that Reid should stay as the head coach of the Chiefs.  Fans shared their mixed opinions on social media.

“He’s under contract through 2029 or something like that, so not really surprising,” one fan said.  “They will be back, he’s a good coach,” another fan said.

“If the Chiefs play like this next season and miss the playoffs again then I bet Reid considers retiring,” a third fan said.  “Time to fire him,” a fourth fan said.

Reid will have some work to do this offseason, with one of his main priorities being replacing Travis Kelce.  It is expected that the future Hall of Fame tight end will retire this year.
