Patrick Mahomes has brought a TV to Chiefs training camp for the first time ever – and there’s two big reasons why.  The star quarterback, who is hoping to lead Kansas City to an unprecedented three-peat next season, revealed to reporters on Tuesday that he wants to keep track of the Paris Olympics and play the newly-released EA Sports College Football 25 video game.  ‘NCAA came out, and Imma have to turn it on,’ he said.

The popular college game has returned for the first time since 2014, with college players’ likenesses now allowed to be used following the sweeping changes to college sports and introduction of NIL.  Meanwhile, the Olympics begin on July 26, and will run until August 11.

‘Obviously the end result was awesome,’ he continued, ‘but I mean, I think a lot of us have a weird feeling. I mean, we really didn’t really play football the way we wanted to play all year long, and it wasn’t fun. I mean, every single week having to try to get better and the results not paying off the way you wanted them to. It wasn’t a lot of fun.

‘We have a lot of those same guys back, and they know how that felt. So we’re going to try to prepare ourselves better this year so that we can play better throughout the season.’   In the same press conference, Mahomes revealed that he is ‘done’ having children after his wife Brittany announced they were expecting a third kid last week.
