‘We’ll see’: No updates on three injured Eagles wide receivers

aj brown1 A.J. Brown missed his second straigh game with a hamstring injury Sunday

With DeVonta Smith in the concussion protocol, A.J. Brown recovering from a hamstring injury, and Britain Covey dealing with a shoulder injury that will likely keep him out of action for a few weeks, the Eagles are facing the possibility of heading to Tampa Bay next weekend with a thin group at wide receiver.  “He’s recovering, continuing to recover,” Nick Sirianni said of Smith.

The 1-2 punch of Saquon Barkley and Dallas Goedert was enough down the stretch Sunday in New Orleans, but the injuries elevate Jahan Dotson to WR1 and rookie Johnny Wilson to WR2. Dotson is still working on his chemistry with Jalen Hurts, and Wilson has one catch.  “We’ll see as the week goes on who is going to be available,” Sirianni said. “We’ll plan for everything. I really have a lot of faith in this wide receiver room.”

Other Eagles injuries

Right guard Mekhi Becton left with a finger injury and All-Pro right tackle Lane Johnson suffered a concussion.  Inside six minutes to play, cornerback Darius Slay needed to be helped off the field.
