When will Isiah Pacheco return and be back on the field for the Chiefs?

Many fantasy football owners are currently searching for an injury update on the Chiefs RB. So when will Isiah Pacheco return and be back on the field for the Chiefs? The best case scenario would be Monday, November 4 in Week 9 when the Chiefs host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. That would be six weeks from the surgery he had on his right fibula.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport tweeted on September 18 that Pacheco had “no complications” and “no ligament issues” during the surgery. He added that Pacheco’s timeline to return was “at least 6 weeks” and “up to 8 weeks.”

Here is a look at the Chiefs schedule around that time.

.Monday, November 4 Week 9: Buccaneers at Chiefs
.Sunday, November 10 Week 10: Broncos at Chiefs
.Sunday, November 17 Week 11: Chiefs at Bills
.Sunday, November 24 Week 12: Chiefs at Panthers

How long will Pacheco be out?

It should be noted that Chiefs head coach Andy Reid painted a much more grim picture on September 19 regarding Pacheco’s potential return.  “I can’t give you a time when he’ll return,” Reid said. “We’ll just see if it’s this season or next season.”  Whether that’s hyperbole from Reid or not remains to be seen. But the most likely scenario is that Pacheco will be seen again this season.
