Travis Kelce makes Taylor Swift declaration for Kansas City Chiefs’ Week 5 showdown after she missed his birthday bash
TRAVIS Kelce moved to reassure fans after girlfriend Taylor Swift missed his birthday.
The Kansas City Chiefs star turned 35 on Saturday as he approaches the end of his NFL career.
Kelce held an event to raise money for charity in Kansas City on the same day as his birthday
Tight end Kelce also held a fundraising event in Kansas City, Missouri. Patrick Mahomes and his wife Brittany were both on the guest list Saturday. But one person missing was Kelce’s megastar partner Swift. The 35-year-old was seen arriving for Kelce Car Jam with a beaming smile on his face. And he told fans, “She (Swift) won’t be here today, but I know she’s coming for the game.”
The game in question is Kansas City’s Week 5 clash with the New Orleans Saints. Kelce was also asked if he had a birthday wish. And he responded, “I’ll take another Super Bowl if you got one of those.” Swift was at Arrowhead Stadium for both the Week 1 and Week 2 games. But she has missed the Chiefs’ last two fixtures – at Atlanta in Week 3 and at the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 4. Kelce assured fans she will be in attendance at Arrowhead Stadium for Monday’s prime time clash.
The tight end held the Kelce Car Jam event for a second year running. The proceeds raised from the day go to his 87 and Running foundation, which supports underprivileged children. Kelce teased some more details on the event on the ‘New Heights’ podcast this week. He said, “This year is the second year we’ve done a car show, basically a block-party style event, that will showcase some of the city’s top automobiles from the Fuel House, a fun car club out here. “And then I guess a bunch of others that are lined up. It’s gonna be fun. “I should have my old school ’70 Chevelle all revved up and ready to rock and roll. “If not, I’ll bring one of the other cars that I have.”
Kelce has so far struggled to find his best form in the 2024 season. His seven catches for 89 yards at the Los Angeles Chargers last time out represents his best return in a game through four weeks.
