Travis Kelce humiliated: Taylor Swift left waiting after his airport fiasco

The Kansas City Chiefs’ Travis Kelce kept Taylor Swift and her dad waiting for 55 minutes as the pair planned to jet to the east coast of the United States, as the star tight end had to be escorted to the aeroplane by armed security.  As the football star enjoys a weekend off due to the Chiefs’ bye week, he planned to take a trip across the USA ahead of Swift’s return to her record-breaking Eras Tour show but seemed to lose track of the time.

The Gulfstream jet flight was due to leave Missouri at around 18:05 local time but Kelce’s Hummer only arrived at 19:00, leaving himself slightly red-faced and embarrassed as he boarded the private jet.  “The flustered NFL star then tried to drive the huge EV onto the apron only to find the gate locked,” DailyMail.com reports. “Eventually a member of Swift’s armed security entourage was able to ferry him to the $61 million plane and red-faced Kelce dashed up the stairs.”

It’s unclear why the couple arrived separately considering Swift and Kelce spent the day at his mansion in Kansas City, but it could relate to the presence of Swift’s father at the clash with the New Orleans Saints on October 7.

When is the Eras Tour back?

The pair might be swapping Missouri for the East Coast due to Swift’s schedule commitments as she prepares to resume her Eras Tour at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami from October 18-20.

However, after the impact of Hurricane Milton, it’s unclear if the show will go ahead after fans called for the popstar to cancel or postpone the events as people try to recover their lives following the Category 4 storm.  Milton struck Florida on October 9 and travelled through the Tampa region, eclipsing almost the entire state, before crossing into the Atlantic Ocean where it is expected to dissipate quicky having already been downgraded to Category 1.
