Chiefs of Mahomes and Kelce named as ‘the new evil empire’ as everyone begs the Bills to eliminate them
It is a common practice in sport that whichever team is consistently winning will soon start to be hated by anyone and everyone. That is the case for the Kansas City Chiefs now, as players of rival teams, pundits and fans are desperate for the Buffalo Bills to bring the Chiefs’ latest Super Bowl charge to an end. The Baltimore Ravens saw their season come to an end thanks to a defeat from the Buffalo Bills, and their players would now like the Bills to go all the way at the expense of the Chiefs.
Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphrey has actively pleaded with the Bills to knock the Chiefs out of the running, suggesting that they can’t ‘keep getting away with it’. “I have no reason of saying this other than being a hater. The Bills or whatever NFC team gotta beat the Chiefs. We can’t let them keep getting away with this,” Humphrey controversially wrote on X.

The Chiefs now have ‘villain status’
NFL Analyst Chris Broussard has said that he does not have any issue with what Humphrey has said, explaining that the Chiefs are now beyond gaining what he calls ‘villain status’. Speaking on Fox Sports’ ‘First Things First’, Broussard said: “They’re not gaining villain status. They are clearly, absolutely positively the villains now. They’re the new evil empire. There’s no doubt about it. And I got no problem with what Marlon Humphrey said.
“Not Brady’s Patriots, not Montana’s Niners, not the steel curtain Steelers of the ’70s, not the great Cowboys of the ’90s, no other team, in my view, is doing what the Chiefs are doing right now, and that is looking like they belong in another league. They look like they’re treating like all these other tremendous football players… look like minor league teams compared to the Chiefs.”
