Brittany Mahomes Asking for Prayers After Missouri Family Tragedy
Brittany Mahomes has a lot on her plate right now. The 29-year-old just gave birth to her third child with Kansas City Chiefs star Patrick Mahomes on Jan. 12. The new mom-of-three is also preparing for the Chiefs’ AFC Championship Game at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday against the Buffalo Bills.
Be that as it may, Brittany Mahomes has still taken the time to share a helping hand. On Thursday, the NFL WAG (wives and girlfriends) took to Instagram to ask for prayers and appeal for financial support after a massive apartment fire in Independence, Missouri claimed the lives of a family of four. “If you are able and willing to help this family that would be so kind of you!” she captioned her post. “Sending prayers and love to their family would also be so kind🙏”

Brittany Mahomes also provided a GoFundMe link in her post as she appealed for help from her followers. As of writing, the drive has raised $42,000 in donations out of its goal of $60,000. According to a report by KMBC News, the Zielinski family perished during a massive apartment fire on Wednesday. The fire reportedly started after a neighboring unit left a stove on.
“An entire family, 32-year-old Devante McShann, 28-year-old Katelyn McShann, and their two young daughters, 8-year-old Bella and 3-year-old Aaliyah, were found dead after a fire ripped through a building in the Indy Ridge Apartment complex early Wednesday,” read KMBC News’ report. Brittany Mahomes has an extensive reach on social media — she has 2.1 million followers — and she’s putting it to use here.
As for her better half, Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs are currently making their final preparations for Sunday’s big game. Standing in the way of a fifth AFC Conference title in six years are Josh Allen and the Bills, who will do everything in their power to take down the champs. A win on Sunday will see the Chiefs advance to the 2025 Super Bowl at New Orleans’ Superdome on Feb. 9, where they will potentially get the chance to win an unprecedented championship three-peat.
