Like Angel Reese, her mother was also a former basketball player during her college years. According to ESPN, Angel Webb Reese played for the University of Maryland before launching her professional career in Luxembourg.
The WNBA standout also shared in a previous interview with Just Women’s Sports that it was her mother, a single parent, who motivated her to try basketball and ultimately fall in love with the sport.
“I used to go to my mom’s games when I was younger,” she recalled, adding “She used to play in a little league and I used to always go watch her games on Sundays. That was something that had always inspired me.”
