Selena Gomez breaks down in tears on Instagram: “I don’t understand, I wish I could do something. I’m so sorry”
““How many people are getting attacked, the children, they don’t understand. I’m so sorry, I wish I could do something but I can’t… I don’t know what to do.” The words of Selena Gomez hit hard enough, but her tear-filled face and inability to string a sentence together was arguably even more moving. The singer and actress recently took to Instagram in a now deleted video to make her feelings clear on the current state of affairs in the country.

Since Donald Trump took over at the White House and became the most powerful man in the world, immigration has been a prime concern that has filled the headlines and news reels the world over.
The President has not been subtle in his attempt to show his hand when it comes to tackling those who want to enter the US, with executive orders being signed that allow for a heavier military presence on the border with Mexico: just one day after 956 people were arrested in an enormous immigration crackdown.
The BBC reported that 956 arrests came after 286 on Saturday. Friday saw 593 arrests while 538 occurred on Thursday.
Selena Gomez, who was born in Texas, has spoken out about the atrocities occurring on the southern border of the country, with many people being told to uproot, causing huge distress to those who least understand the predicament – the children. “I don’t know what to do, I’ll try everything I promise”, she said on Instagram through streams of tears, and her message has no doubt reached millions of the turmoil that is occurring on the southern border to those who are set to see their lives change forever.
