NFL referees are not the most popular people in the sport but seldom do they attract the amount of criticism as the Kansas City Chiefs’ Travis Kelce’s grandma unleashed, as the 35-year-old recalled her foul-mouthed rant when he was a youngster.

The tight end is preparing to take on the Philadelphia Eagles at Super Bowl LIX and the fever is starting to take over the town as Taylor Swift’s boyfriend opens up on what it’s like playing in the game.  But he chose to make a public service announcement to the parents and adults watching, calling on them to be respectful to their children in the room but if they are going to swear, to make it memorable.

JASON TRAVIS

“Nothing beats getting the folks together to watch the big game,” Travis Kelce told They Call It Late Night with Jason Kelce. “But if there are children around, just remember: be careful about your language.  “If you choose to swear and cuss, keep it creative One time, when I was seven. My grandmother called a referee, ‘a little d**k b**ch with a f**king stupid a*s face.’ That’s how you do it, Grandma!”

Where to watch Super Bowl LIX

If Travis wins the Super Bowl once again, he will become part of a moment of history in football as the Chiefs would become the first franchise to win three rings on the spin. For Kelce, he would move joint-first for most Super Bowls from a tight end on four.

He claimed championships in 2019 (vs San Francisco 49ers), 2022 (vs Eagles) and again in 2023 (vs 49ers) and is one of Patrick Mahomes’ preferred receiving targets; despite his struggles throughout the 2024/25 NFL season.  Fans can watch Super Bowl LIX on television via cable or online via streaming through Fox Sports, Fox Desportes (Spanish), Telemundo (Spanish) and NFL.com.
