Patrick Mahomes’ Stepmom Goes Off at Donald Trump as Chiefs Star Surprises POTUS at White House

Patrick Mahomes and Big Moments? Yeah, they’re a package deal—like Messi and last-minute magic. On the field, he’s the guy you count on when the game’s on the line. Whether it’s leading the Chiefs to another playoff charge, or making a surprise visit at a high-profile event, his every move grabs attention. But beyond the Super Bowl rings and the MVPs, there’s another side to Mahomes that often sparks debate—his family’s connection to politics.
Sure, the QB himself stayed neutral, but some of his family members haven’t shied away from expressing their political opinions, especially when it comes to President Donald Trump. And if you’re wondering if the Mahomes-Trump dynamic is already settled—think again. Because a new plot twist has brought it right back into the spotlight. This time, it’s from Mahomes’ stepmom, Trisha Mahomes.
On Thursday, Trisha took to her official Instagram handle and shared a post in her story. The post highlighted Donald Trump seated at the Resolute Desk in the Oval Office, holding a red hat that says, “Trump Right Again About Everything.” However, that’s not what Trisha wants to show. The post involves a cryptic comment that says, “The President of the United States selling merch at the Resolute Desk is a new low.”
Ouch! Now, that’s what we call a well-designed plot twist. You see, Patrick Mahomes is known for constantly making headlines when it comes to their political opinions. For starters, his mom, Randi Mahomes, has always been open about her political support. Remember the eve of Election Day in 2024. Yeah, Randi attended a Chiefs’ game wearing a red “Make America Great Again” hat, while publicly endorsing Trump.
Then there’s Mahomes himself, who had been neutral in political discussions and refrained from endorsing any candidate. “I don’t want to pressure anyone to vote for a certain president,” he told Time Magazine. As for Brittany Mahomes…well, let’s just say, she seemed to be riding the political seesaw. But looks like Trisha Mahomes has a different take on the President Trump. I mean, her IG story is a clear instance of this, isn’t it?
Sure, Trisha isn’t the loudest voice in the Mahomes family when it comes to politics, but this? Well, this is a statement. It’s not just a passing opinion; it’s a mic drop moment. And that’s not the only time she took a dig at Trump. Trisha has been open about her political views for quite some time now. Either way, she just made sure that her stance isn’t a mystery. Meanwhile, someone from the Chiefs clan is surely making headlines with Trump.
Patrick Mahomes’ kicker enjoys a surprising trip to the White House
After winning two back-to-back Super Bowls, Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs were ready to make history with a 3-peat in the NFL. However, the Philadelphia Eagles crushed their dreams with a 40-22 win. Ever since then, the NFL fans are questioning if Jalen Hurts and Co. will visit the White House or not.
Well, the way things and debates are shaping up over their invitation to the White House, we may have to wait for a while to witness that moment. However, amidst all this, the Chiefs’ star placekicker, Harrison Butker, recently had a trip to the White House where he met with Donald Trump. The Communication Advisor, Margo Martin, shared the news on her official ‘X’ handle on Thursday.
“The GOAT of kicking @buttkicker7 meets the GOAT of Presidents @realDonaldTrump,” Martin wrote in her post. Additionally, she also shared a picture of Butker standing at Trump’s side while the President was sitting in the Oval office. On top of that, it is also reported by the ABC News that Butker had a visit to the White House Press Briefing Room where he took photos with White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt.
The 20-year-old placekicker has been a cornerstone of the Chiefs’ roster ever since the Kansas City team drafted him back in the 2017 NFL draft. Butker has appeared in every postseason after his pro football debut for the Chiefs, including his game-winning field goal in the Super Bowl LVII against the Eagles.
As for his track record in the last season, let’s just say the guy had been putting in some work. Drilled 21 field goals out of 25 attempts, with an 84% success rate. And let’s not forget those 62 kickoffs, with 49 of them landing straight into the touchback zone. All in all, Harrison Butker remains constant whether we talk about his on-field performance or making some spicy off-field headlines.
