Chicago Sky Breaks Silence After Major Angel Reese News

Chicago Sky star Angel Reese is set to enter her sophomore year in the WNBA. Finishing as last year’s Rookie of the Year runner-up behind Indiana Fever star guard Caitlin Clark, Reese led the league in rebounds per game and is expected to take a significant leap in year two.
In preparation for the upcoming season, Reese has been participating in the Unrivaled Basketball League, playing for Rose BC. She has continued to dominate on the boards, showcasing flashes of what’s to come when the WNBA resumes in May.
With Reese on the team, Rose BC concluded the regular season with a dominant 74-46 win over Vinyl BC. She was the team’s leading rebounder in every game she played, including a season-high 21 boards against the Luna Owls last month. Over 14 games, Reese averaged 13.1 points, 12.1 rebounds, and 1.9 assists.

Reese played a key role in leading Rose BC to an 8-4 record, securing the No. 2 seed and a spot in the playoffs. They will now face the No. 3 seed Laces on Sunday for a place in the finals, where they would take on the winner of the matchup between the Owls and Vinyl BC. There is some uncertainty surrounding Reese’s injury status, as she appeared to re-injure her wrist ahead of the playoffs, but as of Friday morning there was no official update (via Julia Poe of the Chicago Tribune).
