Angel Reese Breaks Silence On Chicago Sky’s Struggles After Latest Heartbreaker
Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky suffered a brutal loss to the Las Vegas Aces on Sunday. The loss to LV now marks the Sky’s third straight loss after falling to the Phoenix Mercury and Connecticut Sun just a few days ago. After the 77-75 loss for Chicago, Reese shared her thoughts on the recent struggles with the Sky.
Despite the Sky having trouble, the rookie is not panicking with their current situation. “If it was easy, everybody would be doing it.” Reese said. “We good!” With the loss, Chicago fell to 11-18 on the season, and is currently placed as the No. 8 seed in the WNBA rankings.

Despite being defeated, Reese secured her third straight game with 20 or more rebounds, becoming the first player in WNBA history to do so. The rookie went into the matchup against Las Vegas, averaging 13.6 points and 12.6 rebounds per game. She’s been arguably the Sky’s most consistent contributor, but Chicago has dealt with glaring issues in guard play and offensive success.
With their loss to the Aces, that also marks Chicago’s fourth loss in the last five games. They have 11 games remaining to make their final playoff push. The Chicago Sky will look to bounce back on Aug. 28 at 8 p.m. ET when they face the Washington Mystics at home.
