Angel Reese reveals a surprise look that captures Kim Kardashian’s attention
Out from underneath the shadow of Kim Mulkey at LSU, Angel Reese has become more marketable than ever during her first season in the WNBA. It was only recently that Reese finally reached an agreement with Reese’s candy, claiming the arrangement took “four years” to finalize — and it comes as Reese blossoms into one of the W’s rising stars.
Reese has the Chicago Sky in a playoff spot, and the Sky will be hoping to hold off the surging Atlanta Dream to return to the postseason for a sixth year running. Reese also — apparently — has Kim Kardashian in her corner, with the media personality announcing herself as a fan of “Chi-Town Barbie”.
Kardashian appreciates Reese’s choice of headphones
While speaking to reporters earlier this week, Reese was spotted with a pair of Beats Studio Pro headphones around her neck. These specific headphones were made in collaboration with Kardashian — and once she saw Reese rocking them, the star of “The Kardashians” had to comment on Instagram Stories.
In response, Reese took the acknowledgement and ran with it. “Kim K, you know I love you and I’m always repping the @beatsbydre familyyyyy,” she wrote, capping the caption with three “smooch” emojis.
After coming across as a brash and controversial figure while playing at LSU, Reese has cultivated a different kind of personality and fostered a new reputation for herself in the pro ranks. At only 22 years old, Reese has emerged as an elite rebounder — she leads the WNBA with 12.3 boards per game, and she’s posted a league-high 135 offensive rebounds and a league-best 21.6 total rebound percentage. She has posted 20 double-doubles in 27 games and hauled in a career-high 20 rebounds in a loss to the Phoenix Mercury on Sunday.
Reese has also focused on doing good in her community and advocating for her fellow players as well as female athletes in general, demonstrating that she is the complete package and establishing a platform for WNBA superstardom.
Megan Rapinoe on Angel Reese’s new cyber-bullying advertisement:
“I think it’s great also for women to be speaking out on this and actually saying what is happening in their comments… the racism, the sexism, the Homophobia…. This is really cool from Angel.”
