Angel Reese Sends 2-Word Message to Indiana Fever Star After Major Personal Announcement

The heated rivalry between the Chicago Sky and Indiana Fever is relatively new but already well-documented. It all started when the teams’ two budding stars, Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark, began competing on the national stage in college, and their high-level performances enticed WNBA fans just the same during their rookie year.

Now, these two franchises are set to face off for a record five times this season, as the league plays into the marquee event. Their first matchup will be each team’s opening game of the season, as they’ll play at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana, on May 17.

Reese got the opportunity to play with a Fever player, Lexie Hull, this offseason when the two teamed up on Rose Basketball Club in the Unrivaled League. Reese and Hull played exceptionally well, winning the inaugural Unrivaled League championship.

Hull’s offseason got even more exciting on Saturday, as she made a major personal announcement just before the WNBA season. She posted a video on TikTok that revealed she had gotten engaged, which prompted a response for Reese.

“YESSSS LEXIE,” wrote Reese.

While these two will be rivals on the court for the next six months, it’s always exciting to see some of the biggest names in the sport interact off the hardwood. Hull came on strong for the Fever last season, averaging a career high in points per game after the All-Star break.

The connection she established with Caitlin Clark was the missing piece for Indiana, as they basically walked into the postseason after her resurgence. She is one of the best three-point shooters in the league, but she showcased the ability to get to the rim and distribute while playing with Reese in Unrivaled.

Fans are just under a month away from being able to watch Reese and the Sky play again, and their first matchup against Clark, Hull and the Fever should set the tone for the season under new head coach Tyler Marsh.
