Angel Reese Sends Emotional Seven-Word Message About Making WNBA History After Sky Win
The Chicago Sky returned to their winning ways on Thursday against the Dallas Wings. The 83-72 win was just what the doctor ordered for Teresa Weatherspoon’s team, as they had suffered four straight defeats prior to this victory.
Rookie Angel Reese was a major factor in the win. The “Chi Barbie” finished the contest with 16 points and a whopping 18 rebounds across 29 minutes played.
And in doing so, Reese made WNBA history by becoming the first rookie to record seven consecutive double-doubles. Reese appeared overcome with emotion when speaking about what the big win on Thursday meant to her.
“Man, I’m just happy we finally won,” Reese said when asked about what making WNBA history meant to her.
“It’s super exciting obviously for myself, and I try to give myself some grace and tell myself that I’m doing a good job. But I have so much more to grow and I’m just so excited to be in this league,” Reese then added.

Reese and her Chicago Sky team certainly have a lot to be happy about heading in to their matchup with Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever this weekend.
