Angel Reese’s demand from fans on Kysre Gondrezick’s birthday: What did she say?
Angel Reese made a plea to her fans on social media as she celebrated her ex-Chicago Sky teammate’s birthday in an emotional post online as Kysre Gondrezick turned 27 on Saturday, July 27. Gondrezick was a part of the organization when Reese joined after graduating to the WNBA from the LSU Tigers, but Gondrezick found herself without a team when she was released a month ago on June 28.
Despite the pair only knowing each other for a short time, it seems that she left an impression on the 22-year-old Reese who called for her fans to make an edit of the pair to celebrate as she added an emotional message too. “(Somebody make me a lil edit for me to post of me & kysre of all our videos together cause it’s my pookie birthdayyyyy),” Reese posted to X.com, formerly Twitter. “Yall go tell Ky happy 27th birthday!!! @KysreRae miss you girlies.” The ex-Wintrust Arena duo continued their exchange on Elon Musk’s social media platform too as Gondrezick replied to the controversial basketball player, “They could never make me hate you.”

Why is Gondrezick without a team?
The 27-year-old made headlines when she was spotted with the NBA’s Boston Celtics’ star, Jaylen Brown at the EPSY Awards as the pair announced their relationship but the moment was swiftly spoiled when she was released by her team. It’s now the third time in her professional career, which began in 2021, that she has been waived as the Indiana Fever dropped her in January 2022 before the Sky dropped her for the first time in May 2022.
They then hired her back in February 2024 as part of the team’s training camp, where she managed to make it to the roster, only to last six weeks before being dropped again on June 28, 2024. “The Chicago Sky announced today that the team has waived Kysre Gondrezick,” the Sky posted to X.com with a thank you graphic, adding no further context on the decision.
