Brittany Mahomes Celebrates Her Upcoming ‘Family of Five’: ‘Blessings on Blessings’

Brittany Mahomes is getting ready for the arrival of baby No. 3!  On Saturday, July 13, the Kansas City Current co-owner, 28, posted a follow-up to her July 12 pregnancy announcement video on Instagram, sharing a series of professional photos taken of herself, husband Patrick Mahomes, 28, as well as their daughter Sterling Skye and son Patrick “Bronze” Lavon Mahomes III.

“Family of 5 coming soon🥹 blessings on blessings🙏🏻🤍,” Brittany wrote in the post’s caption alongside a shot of herself and Patrick, both wearing all-white outfits and standing against a white backdrop as he places his hands on her bump.

Another photo shows Brittany smiling into the lens as she holds up a sonogram image of her third child with Patrick’s hands on her stomach. Both Sterling, 3, and Bronze, 18 months, join the pair for several more photos in which the kids sit on their parents’ laps, play and look at the sonogram photo.

Brittany and the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback announced her pregnancy on Friday via a joint Instagram Reel featuring footage taken during the same photo shoot. In the sweet clip, the soon-to-be family of five can be seen smiling, laughing and dancing around with the sonograms.

“Round three, here we come 🤍,” they wrote in the caption.

In the comments of Friday’s post, fans, as well as some of Patrick’s Chiefs teammates, shared their excitement for the arrival of the next Mahomes baby.  “Congratulations 🎉🎊❤️,” the New Heights podcast account wrote. (The show is hosted by Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce.)

“So excited for this family ❤️🥹,” the Sports Illustrated account wrote.

Gracie Hunt, daughter of Kansas City Chiefs owner Clark Hunt, also chimed in, “Congratulations! 🥹🤍🎊.”  Patrick and Brittany first met and began dating while attending high school together in Whitehouse, Texas. They welcomed Sterling in February 2021 before tying the knot in March 2022 in a ceremony in Hawaii.

The couple has often been candid about how they parent and how much they want their kids to be involved in their careers. Speaking with PEOPLE in January, Brittany said that Sterling loves attending her dad’s football games and getting involved in any way she can — even at 3 years old.  “She truly enjoys going down to the field and getting to see him before the game,” she said. “I think it’s a very special moment whenever I get to bring them to the game and they get to watch their dad play football.”

In May, Patrick praised Brittany’s role as a mother during an appearance on Logan Paul’s Impaulsive podcast.  “I think people don’t even realize how much she does,” Patrick said of his wife. “Taking care of the day-to-day stuff and making it so where I can focus on football, focus on my craft and everything like that. Just being a hall of fame mom and a hall of fame wife.”

“It makes things a lot easier … when you get to come home and your best friend is there. You can just hang out. It makes you want to be there all the time and so, she pushes me to be great,” he added. “She’s done a lot of great things herself.”
