Brittany Mahomes explains what attracts her most to Patrick Mahomes behind closed doors
Back-to-back champion Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs is about to begin his eighth NFL season, his seventh as the starting quarterback, after spending his rookie year on the bench. That year on the bench likely helped him mature and understand how the most competitive league in the world operates, free from the pressure of being the starting quarterback. In that 2017 season, the Chiefs lost21-22 in the Wild Card round. Seven years later, only Travis Kelce,Harrison Butker, Chris Jones, and head coach Andy Reid remain alongside Mahomes from that team.
Republican Brittany Mahomes in the Spotlight
Much has been said about Brittany Mahomes’ interactions and the backlash she received for publicly supporting Donald Trump. In response, she stated, “Honestly, I don’t give a f*** what people have to say about me anymore,” which seems appropriate in this context, as everyone is free to support whichever party they choose. In an interview on the WHOOP podcast, Brittany discussed the support her husband Patrick has given her during this situation and what attracts her most about him. “Patrick just being the leader that he is, and having the dedication and discipline that he does behind closed doors is what makes him great,” she said.

The Mahomes are expecting their third child, which will require even more dedication from Patrick and Brittany at home, considering their two children are still very young. Patrick could win the first three-peat in NFL history while welcoming his third child-a lucky number three if he secures the title. The political controversy currently surrounding Brittany will likely be forgotten once the elections pass. It will be interesting to see if Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce’s girlfriend and a friend of the Mahomes, supports the Democrats, potentially causing a conflict of interest between the two couples, though, in my opinion, this shouldn’t be an issue.

Patrick, Travis, Taylor and the Chiefs are ready
By this time next week, the first game of the season between the two-time champion Kansas City Chiefs and the Baltimore Ravens will have concluded. The wait is almost over, and we will likely see Taylor Swift at the first games of Kelce and the Chiefs. Mahomes recently mentioned in an interview that Swift might be contributing to the Chiefs’ success in unexpected ways. “She’s asking a lot of great questions. She’s already drawing up plays. We might have to put one in,” Mahomes said.
Last season, Mahomes recorded 4,183 passing yards and 27 touchdowns, even in what was his least productive year. The team still achieved their goal. Now, with Travis Kelce continuing to be a dominant force, and the emergence of Rashee Rice, who set a record for most postseason receptions by a rookie (26), Mahomes could surpass 5,000 passing yards and 35 touchdown passes this season with his new offensive core, which includes Marquise “Hollywood” Brown, though he will miss the first few weeks, the deep-threat rookie Xavier Worthy, and the return of JuJu Smith-Schuster.
