Brittany Mahomes Posts Heartfelt Message on Thursday

The Kansas City Chiefs may be coming off a brutal loss in Super Bowl LIX to the Philadelphia Eagles that ended their bid for an unprecedented third straight Vince Lombardi Trophy, but Patrick Mahomes is still living well.  He and his wife Brittany Mahomes, a former soccer player who owns a pro soccer team based in Kansas City, have three children, two of whom are girls. As a family, they recently took a trip to Disney World in Florida and shared photos of that experience on social media.  Brittany Mahomes also shared a photo on Instagram of their eldest, Sterling Mahomes, with what appeared to be a medium-sized fish the family caught.  “I can’t even handle this,” she wrote.

For much of the 2024 season, the Chiefs appeared to some to be heading toward yet another world championship. They finished the regular season with a 15-2 record, and they just about always found a way to win close games.  However, the Eagles trounced them 40-22 in the Super Bowl.  Kansas City has been relatively quiet in free agency this offseason. It lost a few rotational players, but it did bring in Bailey Zappe, a decent backup quarterback who started nine games in his three NFL seasons, to back up Patrick Mahomes.

If nothing else, the team could be a bit better this fall and winter thanks to the return of stud wide receiver Rashee Rice, who injured his knee in Week 4 and didn’t play again, as well as improvements from speedster wideout Xavier Worthy, who had a nice rookie year.
