Caitlin Clark told what she lacks compared to Angel Reese as Skip Bayless says to Indiana Fever star: ‘I thought you were better than that’
Skip Bayless praised Angel Reese after the Chicago Sky’s thrilling 88-87 victory over Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever on Sunday. The Fox Sports 1 host was quick to point out a key difference between the two superstar rookies, telling Clark he thought she was ‘better’ than the performance she gave on court. ‘The first thing out of [Reese’s] mouth was “I got that dog in me,”‘ he said of the LSU alum’s post-game interview with ESPN’s Holly Rowe. ‘Conversely, I don’t know if [Clark] has got that dog in her,’ he went on. ‘You either were born with it or you weren’t, and you can’t nurture it, coach it or teach it. It’s what you’re made of.’

During the segment on Monday’s episode of Undisputed, Bayless emphasized just how impressed he was with Reese, less than one week after slamming the 22-year-old. ‘For the first time as a professional basketball player, Angel definitely showed me what she’s made of, because they were in big trouble in that game,’ he said.
As for Clark, he continued, ‘I know she’s got talent, I know she definitely has a gift for passing the basketball … I know it’s extremely early but I start to wonder when I see what I saw yesterday. ‘I’m looking at the last three quarters of this game and Caitlin was very quiet, it reminded me of the championship game against South Carolina,’ he said of Iowa’s NCAA loss to the Gamecocks in April.
‘Conversely, I don’t know if [Clark] has got that dog in her,’ the FS1 pundit said of the rookie
Bayless previously said that Reese ‘reeks of jealousy and bitterness’ towards Clark
‘I thought you were a little better than that.’ Bayless has previously been critical of Reese, going so far as to say she ‘reeks of jealousy and bitterness’ towards Clark. ‘I don’t think she wants to be the villain, but she’s the instigator,’ Bayless said after the Sky’s 91-83 loss to the Fever last week. ‘Her postgames reek a little bit of jealousy and bitterness. That’s how it comes across to me.’
The pundit also addressed Reese’s tone and choice of words in her post-game interviews, notably her claim that the refs have ‘a special whistle’ for Clark. ‘It just comes off as so negative,’ Bayless said. ”You guys, you guys,’ like the media is against her – I don’t think the media is against her.’
‘And when she says ‘special whistle’, I gotta tell you, I’ve watched every single one of Caitlin’s games. There have been so many times when she’s trying to dribble the ball up the court, and she gets met by a very physical defender who just footballs her. And they don’t ever call it.’ ‘I don’t see special whistle.’
