Chicago Sky made a determined decision regarding Angel Reese after their defeat against Minnesota Lynx

Another loss tarnishes Chicago Sky’s season in the WNBA. Minnesota Lynx won 80-75, leaving Angel Reese’s team with a 5-12 record, their fifth loss in their last seven games.
In her second year in the league, the 23-year-old forward was named to the 2025 WNBA All-Star Team for the second time. In the game, she scored 16 points, grabbed 17 rebounds, and had 6 assists, but it wasn’t enough to secure a victory.
The Lynx (17-2) surprised in the second quarter by taking advantage of their free throws and extended their victory for the rest of the game. Courtney Williams led the game with 25 points and Napheesa Collier contributed 21.
Chicago Sky, decisive with Reese
Following this latest defeat, the team made a decision regarding her. Although her personal statistics do not seem to be reflected in the team’s performance, Chicago determined that she deserves to be Sky’s Player of the Month and gave the young forward a new reason to celebrate.
The WNBA star averages 12.6 points. She also leads the league with 12.8 rebounds and maintains her best record with 3.9 assists per game. Therefore, it is not surprising that the team has honored her with such an award.
“The only player in the league averaging a double double. It’s only right that A5 is our Player of the Month,” Sky wrote on its official X account.
