Gracie Hunt, a philanthropist, entrepreneur, fashion influencer and daughter of Kansas City Chiefs chairman Clark Hunt, was excited for the AFC Championship game between the Chiefs and the powerful Buffalo Bills.  Before the match that was played at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri, the owner of the defending Super Bowl champions – that want to make history by becoming the first team to win three Super Bowls in a row – was in charge of performing a classic ritual for his team.

Gracie Hunt screams at Arrowhead Stadium

Gracie Hunt was one of many fans at Arrowhead Stadium that was excited for the beating of the war drum that’s a big ritual before every Kansas City Chiefs game played at home. The person in charge of performing the move was none other than Chiefs owner, Clark Hunt.  Hunt couldn’t helped but scream in panic and then out of joy as the sound hyped up the thousands of fans that went to the stadium to show support for the defending Super Bowl champions.

The Chiefs first began using a massive drum – nearly six feet in diameter and two feet deep – in the mid-1960s. Pounding the drum had ended at some point, before being brought back in 2012. A stadium full of Chiefs fans chanting in unison, letting loose with what they presume to be a war cry, accompanied by a chopping arm motion.
Kansas City Chiefs want to make history

The Kansas City Chiefs will aim to defend their back-to-back AFC titles on Sunday as they take on the Buffalo Bills with a spot in Super Bowl LIX on the line. The Chiefs and Bills share a handful of similarities, and one major one is how both teams rack up yards after the catch.

Specifically, a league-most 60.2% of the Chiefs’ passing yards this year were amassed after-the-catch, and right behind Kansas City at No. 2 in the NFL was Buffalo, which tallied 57.9% of its total passing yards after-the-catch.

It’s a simple point, but the Chiefs’ ability to make sure-tackles and to stop Buffalo’s short passing plays before they can get going will be a storyline to watch on Sunday.
