‘Don’t know what she was drinking’ – WWE star surprised by Taylor Swift’s behaviour at Chiefs game
Former WWE star Baron Corbin has hailed Taylor Swift as ‘super humble’ after sharing a rare insight into watching a game with her.
The football player-turned-wrestler seized his opportunity to team up with the pop icon after striking up a friendship with Travis Kelce.
The ‘Anti Hero’ songstress has become a defacto good-luck charm for Kansas City since embarking on a romance with the Chiefs’ tight end. Kelce and Co. are 17-3 with his world-famous other-half in attendance – the highlight of which was their epic Super Bowl kiss in Las Vegas.
Swift has long since ingratiated herself with the Kelce clan, and now she’s doing a stellar job among her beau’s friends as well. The Bad Blood hitmaker has already gone viral for chugging beers in front of Travis’ brother Jason and hanging with Blake Lively.
She has now got a further seal of approval from ex-WWE man Corbin – real name Tom Pestock – after a chance meeting in a Chiefs VIP box. The latter, now going by Bishop Dyer, struck up a friendship with Kelce at a charity event which led to an invite to watch him in action.
Corbin ultimately made the trip to Arrowhead to watch one of the Chief’s rare defeats with Swift in the crowd – a 20-17 loss to the Bills on December 10, 2023. Not that T-Swizzle could do anything about it – in fact, her antics ensured the 2019 King of the Ring still enjoyed a memorable night.
Speaking during an appearance on ‘Insight with Chris Van Vliet’, the one-time United States champion shared: “We went.. and then either my uncle or my brother was like, ‘I wonder if Taylor’s going to be here,’ and as they say it, she was in the room. “My brother’s freaking a little bit but she just walks right up to everybody, gives them a hug. And gives us a hug. It was like you were instantly family.
Former WWE star Corbin lavished praise on Swift following their encounter
“It’s crazy because I wanted out of that suite for a little while. Dude, it’s just mobs of people standing outside the suite just taking selfies of Taylor.” “That was different magnitude. You felt like everyone in the stadium was staring at you because you’re standing behind her. “I had conversations with her. Super dope, super humble. Down to earth. And it’s all Kelce’s buddies from high school and home and they’re all super cool. Nobody’s got egos in there.”
Corbin also revealed that he attended a party with NFL’s power couple after the game where Swift continued to surprise. He added: “Travis threw a little Christmas party. We hung out, went to the bar. “I don’t know what she was drinking but she’ll go. She’s just a regular human that’s probably the most influential person in the world right now. And unbelievably talented.”
Kelce and Kansas City are 17-3 with Swift watching from the VIP box
Swift was most recently in attendance as the Chiefs made it past the Texans, where her partner Kelce was indeed the one to make history. He became the first player to record a ninth 100-yard game in the postseason during the 23-14 triumph. The Chiefs will now seek revenge in the Conference Championship against the Buffalo Bills – the team Corbin watched them lose to. From there, the winner heads to the Super Bowl, and Swift will no doubt be there every step of the way supporting Kelce and the Chiefs as they look for their third consecutive Super Bowl.
