The countdown continues toward Super Bowl LIX, set to take place on Sunday, February 9, at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans. But first, this weekend brings the AFC and NFC Championship Games, where the finalists for the NFL’s biggest stage will be decided.

AFC Championship: Bills vs Chiefs

The Buffalo Bills, led by Josh Allen, will face off against Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs in what is quickly becoming a modern playoff rivalry. This marks the fourth postseason meeting between the two teams in recent years, solidifying their status as two of the AFC’s elite.

NFC Championship: Eagles vs Commanders

In the NFC Championship, the Philadelphia Eagles, with Jalen Hurts at the helm, will take on the Washington Commanders, led by rookie quarterback sensation Jayden Daniels.

Hurts is battling through a knee injury sustained during the third quarter of the Eagles’ Divisional Round victory against the LA Rams. Despite finishing that game, he has reported lingering discomfort throughout the week.

When asked about his progress, Hurts kept it brief, saying, “It’s been progressing.” He has participated in team practices and is expected to wear a knee brace for the matchup against the Commanders.

In two postseason games, Hurts has thrown for 259 yards, two touchdowns, and no interceptions. However, he has been under heavy pressure, suffering nine sacks—seven of them against the Rams.

Philadelphia’s offense has been boosted by the strong performances of running back Saquon Barkley, who remains a key piece in their ground attack.
