Emma Raducanu became a global brand ambassador for Porsche in 2022. Porsche was one of the brands she signed a contract with after she became a sensation following her 2021 US Open victory.  In the past few days, however, there were rumors of Porsche taking back the 911 Carrera GTS it had gifted to the tennis star. An insider even claimed that she “no longer has a Porsche” as “they took it back.” But the brand has since rubbished the rumors.

Emma Raducanu is a global brand ambassador for Porsche and there have not been any changes within our successful partnership since it started in 2022.
A spokesperson from Porsche reportedly stated

Raducanu seemingly mocked those who laughed at her. After she was spotted boarding a London bus, fans started to mock her, adding fuel to the rumors that the Brit had to use public transport after Porsche took away her car.  Reports have since also emerged about her driving a Porsche Cayenne. Raducanu took to Instagram and posted a picture of her inside a bus along with a laughing and a bundle of newspaper emoticons.

When Raducanu first signed the endorsement deal with Porsche, she revealed how she used to dream about owning the car one day after seeing one of her childhood coaches driving one of the brand’s cars.

Emma Raducanu wants to be available for the Billie Jean King Cup

Emma Raducanu is yet to make her comeback to tennis as a foot injury she suffered during the Korea Open ruined her plans of playing more on the Asian swing. In Seoul, the 21-year-old gave a walkover to Daria Kasatkina in the quarterfinals after losing the first set.  In a statement while announcing her withdrawal from the Hong Kong Open, Raducanu stated that her foot was making ‘good progress’ and she needed more time to get fit. She wants to recover completely before the Billie Jean King Cup. The Hong Kong Open is the fifth tournament Raducanu has skipped after the injury.

Raducanu is 20/13 on the season and is yet to win her second WTA title after her 2021 US Open win. Last year as well, multiple injuries and surgeries kept her outside the tennis courts, but despite her setbacks, she returned to the top 100 and currently stands in 58th position thanks to her decent run on the grass swing.
