AN emotional Travis Kelce has made a stark admission about his recent form.  Talk has mounted that the Kansas City Chiefs should bench Kelce amid their poor 2025 season.

Kelce has opened up about his struggles with the 6-7 Chiefs this year.  The 36-year-old tight end has underperformed significantly as the franchise looks set for its worst campaign in over a decade.

He made a major error against the Houston Texans on Sunday as the Chiefs fell to consecutive losses for the third time in 2025.  Veteran Kelce appeared distraught on the sidelines after his dropped ball resulted in a 20-10 win for the Texans at Arrowhead Stadium.

Kelce appeared on his New Heights podcast to discuss the awkward position that the franchise is now in.  “It’s been a tough f***ing go-around for the last two days,” Kelce said. “You put in all this f***in’ work and hope that it pays off and right now.

“I feel like I’ve always had the answers in years past and this year I just can’t find them.”  Three-time Super Bowl winner Kelce walked off the field with his head bowed after his disastrous play against the Texans.

The Chiefs sit third in the AFC West with their playoff hopes dwindling rapidly.

They have topped their division every year since the 2014 season.  But it now seems increasingly likely that the Chiefs will miss out this year.

“It’s a it’s a sh***y f***ing feeling,” Kelce added. “Especially dropping the f***ing ball late in the game like that when we were on our last f***ing chance to make something shake.”

There have been growing calls from fans for head coach Andy Reid, 67, to bench the experienced tight end.  “Bench Kelce and then cut him at the end of the season,” one fan posted on X.

“lmao Kelce wanna pack up the cleats so bad,” another commented.  The veteran is set to decide his future after the end of the 2025 NFL season.

Kelce’s Chiefs have four games left to save their season, including games against divisional rivals the Los Angeles Chargers and Denver Broncos.  They will host the 9-4 Chargers at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday.
