Fans Call Out Taylor Swift’s Dad For What He Did During Chiefs-Bills

Taylor Swift was at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday for the AFC Championship Game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Buffalo Bills. She brought her family along with her, too, as her parents, Andrea and Scott Swift, as well as her brother, Austin Swift, joined her in the VIP box to cheer on Travis Kelce and the rest of the squad.

The Swifts did not go home disappointed. They witnessed the Chiefs make history by securing their third straight AFC title — and their fifth in six years — after defeating Josh Allen and Co., 32-29.

Scott Swift, however, drew the ire of some fans for what he did during the game. Supporters could not help but playfully call out the 72-year-old for cheering on the Chiefs.

For context, Scott Swift was born in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, which is roughly 11 miles outside Philadelphia. He is an avid supporter of the Philadelphia Eagles, who happen to be the Chiefs’ opponents for Super Bowl LIX after the Eagles took down the Washington Commanders in the NFC Championship Game on Sunday.

Fans on social media started trolling the Swift family patriarch for supporting the Chiefs — and wearing team gear — despite being a lifelong Eagles fan.

“Unbelievable. The birds are playing & her dad is rocking KC gear,” a comment on X read.

“If scott swift, proclaimed life long eagles fan, shows up in donna kelce split jersey i reserve the right to egg him. You don’t go halfsies on the eagles because your daughter is dating travis kelce. Also travis has two wins under his belt. The eagles deserve the support,” said a user.

“Yeah him going to Chiefs games is one thing, but if he wears anything except Eagles gear in two weeks, he will 100% not be welcome in the Linc anymore. Just sayin,” wrote another.

“Let’s be real Scott jumped ship so hard this man only has chiefs attire now 🤪” a post read.

“Someone: Scott eagles are playing Scott: who?” joked a user.

“Scott’s like yeah that’s cool haven’t thought about them in two years,” another trolled.

To be fair, it’s not as if Scott Swift is facing immense backlash from an angry mob here. To a certain extent, the fans on social media understand that he came to Arrowhead to support her daughter’s boyfriend and his team.

It’s not as if fans expected him to rock Eagles gear during a Chiefs game. Nevertheless, it hasn’t stopped them from trolling him.

Whatever the case might be, it will be very interesting to see which team Scott Swift will cheer for come Feb. 9. He will likely be at the Superdome in New Orleans for Super Bowl LIX, and his loyalty to his Eagles might just be put to the test.
