Grammy Awards Make Surprise Taylor Swift Announcement
Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, are having one epic year. While Kelce looks to help the Chiefs become the first team in NFL history with a Super Bowl three-peat, Swift wrapped up her record-breaking “Eras Tour” last month. While performing 149 shows across five continents, the “Blank Space” singer released her 11th studio album, “The Tortured Poets Department” in April, which broke numerous streaming records and made history with amount of weeks it spent at No. 1 on the Billboard music charts.
The surprise double album racked up five Grammy Award nominations, including album of the year, record of the year (“Fortnight”), song of the year (“Fortnight”), best pop vocal album, and best music video (“Fortnight”). She also earned a nomination for best pop duo/group performance for her feature on Gracie Abrams’ song “Us.” While the 35-year-old pop star was already confirmed to attend the 67th annual Grammy Awards ceremony in Los Angles on Feb. 2, the biggest night in music announced even more exciting Swift news on Thursday.

The 14-time Grammy winner will present an award during the awards ceremony at the Crypto.com Arena. Taylor Nation, Swift’s management company, celebrated the news on X. They posted, “Straight from THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT, The Chairman will be reporting live from the #GRAMMYs!”
As for which award Swift is giving out, that remains a mystery. One fan guessed, “I had a feeling it’s going to be for a country category so that she can present to Beyoncé. That’s my prediction.” Another person commented, “the concept of taylor presenting sabrina carpenter’s first grammy… taydaughter at its finest.”
Swift caused a stir at last year’s awards ceremony, as she announced the upcoming release of “The Tortured Poets Department.” The news came as swerve as fans patiently await the release of “Reputation: Taylor’s Version.” One week after the Grammys, fans can expect to see Swift at the Superdome in New Orleans as the Chiefs face the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl on Feb. 9.
