Jalen Hurts’ Latest 3-Word Injury Update Will Turn Heads

The Philadelphia Eagles are preparing to take on the Washington Commanders in the NFC Championship Game on Sunday afternoon, and everyone is keeping tabs on superstar quarterback Jalen Hurts, who is dealing with a knee injury in the buildup to this game. His latest update on his ailment will surely catch fans’ attention.
Hurts suffered the aforementioned injury in the third quarter of the Eagles divisional round win over the Los Angeles Rams when his leg got twisted up as he was sacked by Jaylen McCollough. Hurts managed to finish the game, but his mobility the rest of the way out was limited, and he was seen limping pretty heavily after the contest.
Despite that, Philadelphia hasn’t seemed overly concerned about Hurts injury throughout the week, and he’s suited up for both of the team’s first two practices on Wednesday and Thursday. On Friday, though, Hurts revealed that he will likely have to wear a brace on his knee if he does end up playing, which raised some eyebrows.
“Eagles QB Jalen Hurts on his knee: ‘It’s been progressing, like coach said.’ Asked if he’ll wear a brace Sunday, he said, ‘I anticipate so,'” Mike Garafolo reported in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter.

While the brace would help Hurts be able to gut out this injury in an effort to lead the Eagles to the Super Bowl, it shows that he’s not at full health. Whether it would impact his play remains to be seen, but it’s important to note, as Hurts’ ability to scamper in the pocket and take off on the ground is a big part of his game.
For now, Hurts appears to be on track to suit up for the Eagles in their huge clash against the Commanders, but if he is limited like he was late in their win over the Rams, that could create some problems. Philadelphia is scheduled to face off against Washington in the NFC Championship Game on Sunday, Jan. 26 at 3 p.m. EST.
