JuJu Watkins Drops Truth-Bomb About WNBA Rookie of the Year Award Race
Despite the WNBA season only being about halfway over, the league’s 2024 Rookie of the Year Award is already a two-woman race. Those two women are, of course, Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark and Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese. Everybody has an opinion about which of these two icons is more deserving of the award. And debate will surely intensify as the season continues and voters get closer to actually having to decide between them.
But one of these rookies’ former peers delivered her own verdict on Thursday. USC Trojans star guard JuJu Watkins made it known that she believes Angel Reese deserves WNBA ROTY honors. A response of Watkins answering who her ROTY is was posted on X by @USCTrojansWBB. In the post, Watkins says, “As of right now, I got Angel. I got Angel. She’s been killing it.”

“She always been real,” one fan said.
Another added, “JUJU” with a GIF of comedian Druski dapping a friend up. Regardless of when Watkins decides to enter the WNBA, she’s sure to be a favorite to win her year’s WNBA Rookie of the Year Award.
