Kamilla Cardoso Reveals Major Key Behind Strong Bond With Angel Reese
The rookies came up huge for the Chicago Sky on Wednesday, with Kamilla Cardoso and Angel Reese combining for a brilliant performance in the frontcourt against the Atlanta Dream at home. Both players put up double-double stat lines, with Cardoso producing 10 points and 11 rebounds and Reese racking up 11 points and 13 rebounds. Together, they had five of the Sky’s eight blocks in the Sky’s 78-69 win over Atlanta.
Cardoso and Reese are big reasons why the future is bright for Chicago. They have the potential to become the best forward-center tandem in league history. While it is still too early to say how the duo will fare in the years to come, what’s certain is that they are constantly working to be better alongside each other. “We’ve been working together at practice and getting more and more chemistry,” Cardoso said, per Marquee Sky.

Chicago spent a couple of first-round picks on Cardoso (No. 3 pick) and Reese (No. 7) in the 2024 WNBA Draft, and so far, the Sky must be happy to see their investment paying off.
Even though the Sky are still just seventh in the standings with a 9-12 record, they should be starting to see bigger success in the future, as Cardoso and Reese continue to develop in the pros. So far in the 2024 WNBA season, Cardoso is averaging 8.0 points and 8.0 rebounds per game, while Reese is making 14.0 points and 11.9 rebounds per contest.
