Khyree Jackson tragic car crash: Who is Cori Clingman, the woman involved in the fatal incident?
Cori Clingman has been identified as the driver involved in the tragic car crash that resulted in the deaths of football players Khyree Jackson, Isaiah Hazel and Anthony Lytton Jr.. Maryland State Police are investigating the fatal incident, which occurred in Prince George’s County. Clingman was attempting to change lanes at high speed when she collided with the car carrying Jackson, according to police reports. The impact caused the car to veer off the road and hit several tree trunks before coming to a halt.
Jackson and Hazel, who was driving the Charger, were pronounced dead at the scene. Lytton Jr. was transported to the University of Maryland Capital Region Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries. All three men were former teammates from Dr. Henry Wise Jr. High School.
Who is Cori Clingman?
Clingman has a history of speeding offenses. According to reports, records reveal that she has been cited twice for speeding in 55 mph zones. In 2018, she was caught driving 69 mph in a 55 mph zone, and in 2020, she was recorded traveling at 100 mph in the same type of zone. She served a year of unsupervised probation for her first offense, but the outcome of her second arrest remains unclear.
Police have indicated that alcohol may have been a contributing factor in the collision, but Clingman has not yet been charged as the investigation continues. Clingman and the two passengers in her car, as well as the driver of a third vehicle involved in the crash, were uninjured.
