The Los Angeles Dodgers visited the White House to celebrate their World Series win, continuing a long-standing baseball tradition of champions visiting 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. During the visit, President Trump sparked laughter among the Dodgers when he chose not to introduce certain political guests.

While delivering remarks in the East Room, Trump drew a wave of laughter after refusing to name a few of the senators present. “We have a couple of senators here. I just don’t particularly like them, so I won’t introduce them,” he said.

The players shared surprised glances but couldn’t hold back their laughter at the comment.

Dodgers were “very pleased to participate”

The White House welcomed the LA Dodgers with Randy Newman’s ‘I Love LA’ playing, while the team gifted Trump a jersey bearing his name and the number 47. The Dodgers’ chairman, Mark Walter, said the organization was “‘very pleased to participate in the tradition of bringing champions to the White House.”

About the visit, Manager Dave Roberts assured that the decision to visit 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue was a team-wide commitment. “It’s tradition, and we’re doing it unified. I’m excited about it,” he said on Friday.
