Back in Week 4, the Baltimore Ravens received tough news: not only did they lose to Patrick Mahomes’ Kansas City Chiefs, but Lamar Jackson also suffered a muscle injury that sidelined him for three games, putting their season in jeopardy.

However, Jackson made his comeback in spectacular fashion – not just winning, but crushing the Miami Dolphins 28-6 on Thursday Night Football. The night in Miami completely belonged to the two-time NFL MVP, who effortlessly threw four touchdown passes against a helpless Dolphins defense.

Jackson spread the ball around, especially to his tight ends, connecting for touchdowns with Mark Andrews and Charlie Kolar, and also finding wide receiver Rashod Bateman in the end zone. He finished the night with 204 passing yards and added 14 rushing yards on 5 carries.

Lamar Jackson is a serious threat – and he proved it on TNF

The message was loud and clear in prime time: while it’s true that the Miami Dolphins have been a mess lately, Lamar Jackson’s level of play after missing time since Week 4 was simply impressive. He didn’t even need to step on the gas, which says a lot – especially in an AFC that’s more competitive than ever.

The Baltimore Ravens still have a long road ahead, but with this win, they’ll go to sleep in second place in the AFC North at 3-5, just behind the Pittsburgh Steelers (4-3). The Steelers will host the top team in the AFC this week – the Indianapolis Colts led by Daniel Jones, who are sitting at 7-1.

Another advantage for the Ravens is their upcoming schedule: their next four opponents are teams that have changed quarterbacks either due to injuries or poor performance. Next up are the Minnesota Vikings, followed by the Cleveland Browns, New York Jets, and the Cincinnati Bengals on Thanksgiving Day.

That November stretch could set them up well for December, when they’ll face the Pittsburgh Steelers, New England Patriots, and Green Bay Packers – all current playoff teams. If Lamar Jackson maintains his form and stays healthy, the Ravens should be favorites. The most even matchup could come on December 28 at Lambeau Field against the Packers.
