Mom Randi Admits Approving Patrick Mahomes & Brittany’s Relationship After ‘Going Through So Much’ Post-Divorce

Patrick Mahomes is one lucky man! Not just on the gridiron, the Kansas City Chiefs‘ player is winning off the field as well. The NFL Star is married to his high-school sweetheart Brittany Mahomes and has two beautiful children. If Pat’s mom, Randi Mahomes, is to be believed, the QB is with the right person!

Randi Mahomes gave a pretty revealing interview to ‘The Mom Game Podcast’ in June 2024. During her appearance, Randi was extremely complimentary to her beloved daughter-in-law, Brittany Mahomes. After meeting each other in 2012, Patrick and Brittany started dating while they were still in high school. According to the 51-year-old, Brittany provided a security blanket for her son!

“It really really is (a comforting feeling),” said Randi. “You see so much, and you hear so much. I’ve been through so much.” Randi herself was a celebrity wag at one point. She was married to Patrick Mahomes Sr. who is a former MLB pitcher. However, since her divorce from the NFL star’s father, Randi has struggled quite a lot!

In 2011, Randi welcomed her daughter Mia Randall with her mystery partner. It wasn’t an easy ride for her as she had to work as a single mother and raise three children (Patrick, Jackson, and Randi) on her own. Hence, Randi was ecstatic about having someone like Brittany in her son’s life.

Randi Mahomes wanted Patrick and Brittany to end up together

Patrick Mahomes and his wife Brittany Mahomes weren’t always in sync. As the NLF QB’s step-sister Mia was growing up, Pat and Brittany were the ones who took care of her. In the same podcast, Randi even called Mia “Brittany’s daughter.” But things weren’t always so smooth. According to Randi, the Chiefs No. 15 had “moments” of tension with his now-wife.

However, Randi knew what was best for Patrick Mahomes and wanted him to be with Brittany. “There were times where they’d have moments. But then he’d wanna go out and I’m like, ‘I’d rather Brittany be here than him go out.” Thankfully, the couple worked it out and eventually tied the knot in March 2022.

In his ‘Impaulsive’ podcast appearance with Logan Paul, Patrick Mahomes pretty much echoed the same sentiments as his mother! The 28-year-old called Brittany a “Hall of Fame mom and a Hall of Fame wife.” Together, the couple has created some successful ventures, including owning the NWSL team, Kansas City Current. With each passing day, Patrick and Brittany prove Randi was correct in thinking that the couple are “good” for each other.
