Patrick Mahomes and Chiefs excite fans ahead of new season: ‘Revenge!’

The Kansas City Chiefs are already locking in for a high-stakes 2025 season, and they just reminded fans exactly why they’re one of the NFL’s most exciting teams.  This week, the reigning AFC champs dropped a fiery 13-second video on Twitter that instantly fired up fans across the league.

The short teaser kicks off with quarterback Patrick Mahomes standing in frame, focused and intense, as military jets soar behind him.  It’s a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moment, but it sets the tone.  From there, fans are treated to a montage of fireworks at Arrowhead Stadium, smoke-filled player entrances, explosive touchdowns, and hyped-up celebrations.  “Simply cannot wait to be back,” the caption read.

Redemption on the horizon

Chiefs fans were incredibly motivated after seeing the video.  “First two seconds with Mahomes and jets in background flying in was bada**,” one follower posted.  Another called it the start of a “revenge season,” while many declared this year’s campaign as one for redemption.

That energy comes from the sting of last year’s Super Bowl. Kansas City’s hopes for an unprecedented three-peat were crushed in a 40-22 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in New Orleans. Now, the focus is on regrouping and returning stronger.  Patrick Mahomes has kept a relatively low profile since that defeat but has been dropping workout clips from the gym, showing he’s wasting no time preparing for another title run.

Off the field, he and wife Brittany were spotted courtside supporting Texas Tech during March Madness, repping his alma mater.  Tight end Travis Kelce, too, has confirmed he’s not hanging up the cleats just yet. Despite swirling retirement rumors, the All-Pro announced he’ll be back for 2025-unwilling to let his career end on a sour note.

Kelce and pop superstar girlfriend Taylor Swift have kept things quiet this spring, but his return adds another weapon to Kansas City’s stacked roster.  With key players locked in and unfinished business still on the table, the countdown to the Chiefs’ revenge tour has officially begun.
