Patrick Mahomes’ Chiefs get good news: Isiah Pacheco’s return date given
The Kansas City Chiefs continue to impress despite dealing with a rash of injuries over the course of the opening eight weeks of the 2024 NFL season. Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid have managed to steer the ship despite injuries to four of their wide receivers, with the likes of Hollywood Brown and Rashee Rice out for the season. Despite the struggles the Chiefs are 7-0, and the rest of the league will have to be on alert as they are getting some good news when it comes to recoveries.
Who is nearing a return for the Chiefs?
Earlier this week, Reid stated that running back Isiah Pacheco was still a few weeks away from returning to practice. However, NFL Insider Ian Rapoport has given an improved timeline for his return.

Rapoport stated that Pacheco could be back on the field as early as late November, which would be a welcome sight for the Chiefs. Pacheco fractured his right fibula in Week 2 against the Cincinnati Bengals, and the Chiefs placed him on Injured Reserve as a result.
Early estimates stated he would miss 6-8 weeks, with late November being at the tail end of that timeline. Despite his absence, the Chiefs have marched on with the pair of Kareem Hunt and Samaje Perine. They could also turn to Clyde Edwards-Helaire, though he hasn’t played at all so far this season. Either way, the Chiefs will look to improve to 8-0 when they play host to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday Night Football.
