Patrick Mahomes gets embarrassed by wardrobe malfunction during Chiefs practice
The biggest reason for Patrick Mahomes’ success in the NFL has been his immense talent. His arm strength and accuracy paired with his improvisational ability makes him a nightmare for defenses to contain. But he also has an infectious personality that helps him connect with Kansas City Chiefs teammates.
He might not be the funniest person in the world, but Mahomes knows how to have a good time and laugh at himself when the environment calls for it. And he knows how to flip the switch when his team needs him to be serious and make plays. During a training camp practice on Wednesday, Mahomes chose humor, as he noted to his teammates and coaches that “I didn’t put my pants on”
Patrick Mahomes forgets “pants” during Chiefs training camp practice
Technically, he was still wearing pants. What he forgot was the actual pads that go under the pants, which protect a players’ quads and knees. Mahomes wondered if he could get away with it for the whole practice, pondering if “maybe he’ll think my quads are so big that they look like pants”. He then exclaims that “I look like an idiot now”. It wasn’t quite that serious, but Mahomes ended up going back to the locker room and making the wardrobe change.
