Patrick Mahomes Teams Up With Coors Light For The Chillest Collab Yet: The Patrick Plunge

Patrick Mahomes is back with Coors Light for the fourth year in a row, and this time, they’re taking the “cold” part of “cold beer” to a whole new level, straight into the Super Bowl champ’s brain. Yes, you read that right. Coors Light has just unveiled The Patrick Plunge, a cold plunge experience shaped like Mahomes’ actual head, and it might be the chillest activation on Earth.
Patrick Mahomes Takes A Cold Dip Into… His Own Head?
In a hilarious new promo video, fans get a first look at this frosty phenomenon. A calm, Zen-like narrator sets the tone, “If you want to be as chill as Patrick Mahomes, you have to get out of your own head—and plunge into this one.” Cut to a giant cold tub designed as Mahomes’ head, where the QB himself climbs in and jokes, “Patrick, you’re freezing.” From there, the video embraces full Coors Light weirdness, philosophical voiceovers, robe-wearing wanderers looking for the sauna, and Mahomes stepping out mid-freeze to help a confused guest find the right room.
Coors Light And Patrick Mahomes Turn Brain Freeze Into An Art Form
The voiceover continues as Mahomes eases into the icy water, “It’s not just a cold plunge in the shape of Patrick Mahomes’ head… it’s the chillest place on Earth.” Mahomes nods, “It’s my head.” The narrator continues, “Now it’s a cold plunge. Unite body and mind. Bathe in melting cold refreshment. Transcend…” Before the narrator can finish this soothing journey, the ad is interrupted by a confused man in a robe, peeking in and asking, “This isn’t the sauna room?”
Mahomes casually points him in the right direction, “Down the hall to the left.” “Where was I? Transcend… limitation. Feel the ice course…,” the voiceover continues before the same man yells again from offscreen, “Left? Did you say left?” At this point, Mahomes climbs out of the tub to help him find his way, keeping things as chill and unbothered as ever.
Why A Cold Plunge?
Cold plunges have become the go-to ritual for athletes, wellness lovers, and stress-busting seekers alike. A cold plunge, also called cold water immersion or an ice bath, is exactly what it sounds like. Immersing your body in cold water, typically between 50–59°F (10–15°C), for a few minutes. Some people take it further, dropping temps into the 30s or adding pounds of ice to their tubs. While it might sound like something reserved for Olympic athletes or biohacking extremists, more and more everyday people are making it part of their daily or weekly routines.
From Ice Baths To Pop Culture
What used to be a behind-the-scenes recovery method for elite athletes has now become a wellness staple for celebrities, influencers, and even suburban moms. High-profile names like Joe Rogan, Kim Kardashian, and Harry Styles have spoken publicly about their icy routines, while influencers on TikTok and Instagram post daily “plunge updates” as part of their self-care journey.
But, the Patrick Plunge takes that trend to the next level by combining full-body refreshment with the icy essence of Coors Light, and the unbeatable cool of Mahomes himself. Cold plunges aren’t for everyone, those with certain health conditions should always consult a doctor first, but for many, they’ve become a powerful part of daily wellness. Whether you’re looking to recover faster after a workout, reduce anxiety, or simply shock yourself awake on a Monday morning, plunging into cold water might be the refresh you didn’t know you needed.
