Philadelphia Eagles Star Misses Super Bowl Media Availability With Illness

The Philadelphia Eagles could have a big problem on their hands if one of their top defensive players isn’t able to give it a go in Super Bowl 59. According to the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, “#Eagles standout DL Jalen Carter missed his media availability today because of an illness, I’m told. We’ll learn later about whether he participated in practice and if so, how much.”
Philly’s injury report should be published this afternoon to give us a better idea of how serious Carter’s illness is. Hopefully it’s nothing, but it could be cause for pause for fans of the Birds if the former top 10 pick isn’t at full-speed on Sunday.

Here’s what folks had to say about the news on Wednesday.
“Will definitely need to keep an eye out for this,” a user said.
“That gumbo gave him the bubble guts is all,” another replied.
“give bro every ounce of tylenol in the world,” a fan commented.
“Early/mid week illness always better than late surprise,” an account shared. “Gives a chance to get better. Team doctors put their private practices on hold and spend this week with their team.”
“Chiefs devil magic kicking in already.”
“Please don’t be the flu,” another user begged.
“We never beating the devil magic allegations,” a Kansas City fan posted.
Carter has been disruptive to opposing offenses all season long and the Eagles will definitely need him at full strength this weekend. We’ll find out soon just how much of a story this will/won’t be heading into the big game.
