Taylor Swift Stalker Arrested At Germany Show, Also Threatened Travis Kelce
German police detained a U.S. man Wednesday suspected of stalking Taylor Swift and making threats against her and Travis Kelce on social media. The man, who has not been identified, was trying to attend Swift’s concert in Gelsenirchen. He had a ticket for the show and was taken into custody at the entry control point to the venue before the concert on Wednesday.
He was arrested after initial investigations could not rule out that he posed a threat, said police. AP reported that organizers of the event tipped off authorities of the alleged stalker‘s concerning online behavior.
The man came to attention by making threats against Swift and her partner Travis Kelce, police said. They claimed neither the singer, Kelce (who attended the show), nor concertgoers were in danger at any time. A court ordered the man to be held through Saturday. The Wednesday show was one of three in Gelsenkirchen. It attracted 60,000 fans.
Swift has seven total shows in Germany over the next two weeks, with shows in Gelsenkirchen, Hamburg and Munich. She will wrap up the European leg of the Eras Tour in August, performing five nights in London.
