The Kansas City Chiefs’ blockbuster matchup against the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Championship Game lived up to the hype. While Bills quarterback Josh Allen and Co. gained the lead numerous times, the Chiefs defeated their rival, 32-29.  “I have so much respect for Josh, man,” Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes told reporters after the game. “Just a true competitor, a true warrior, a great football player, and they always come down to the wire. Luckily, we were on the winning side this time.  “But like I said, I’m just excited to get down to New Orleans. Let’s go make history.”

Kansas City’s habit of winning one-score games in the final few minutes has proved stressful for Chiefs Kingdom. Taylor Swift, who returned to Arrowhead Stadium to cheer on her boyfriend, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, on Sunday night, made it clear the pressure weighs on her, as well.

Over the past two seasons, TV cameras have captured Swift’s reactions to big plays on the field. Whether she’s applauding or silently waiting for the ref’s announcement, it’s clear the 35-year-old pop star is engrossed in the game.  Kelce didn’t have a monster performance against the Bills. He recorded just two catches for 19 yards. However, the “Karma” singer doesn’t just cheer for Kelce, she celebrates everyone on the team.

While awaiting the presentation of the Lamar Hunt Trophy after the Chiefs punched their ticket to the Super Bowl, Swift stood by Donna Kelce, the 10-time Pro Bowl selection’s mom, and Brittany Mahomes, the wife of the Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

While embracing Brittany, “Oh my god,” Swift says, “You kept me so calm the past couple weeks.” She taps Donna on the arm and says of the 29-year-old’s support, “I just … I did not know what to do. I’d be like, ‘Brittany, just tell me it’s going to be OK.'”

“My heart was in my throat,” Swift said of the Chiefs title win. “Oh my God, same,” Brittany replied.  The 14-time Grammy winner seems to bring good luck to the Chiefs. The team has won 19 of the 22 games she has attended. Fans hope she supports Kelce and the Chiefs by attending the Super Bowl in New Orleans on Feb. 9.
