The despicable reaction of a well-known TikToker to Khyree Jackson’s death shakes the networks: You got a fu**ed up soul
The sports community is rallying together in response to a deeply offensive TikTok video that surfaced following the tragic death of Minnesota Vikings cornerback Khyree Jackson. The video, which also gained traction on X, saw the user taking advantage of the tragedy to hurl insults at Jackson. The TikTok user made baseless claims about Jackson’s character, calling him “a terrible person” and speculating about the circumstances surrounding his death.
This was done without knowledge that Jackson had died in a car accident for which he bore no responsibility. The video further disparaged Jackson by bringing up low points from his past, which only intensified the backlash. The insensitive nature of the video outraged social media users, who were appalled that someone would exploit the deaths of Jackson and his two passengers for personal notoriety.
Response from the sports community
The response was swift, with current and former NFL players voicing their condemnation of the TikTok user. They stressed that right after a tragic death is not the time to focus on a person’s past mistakes. “You’re a punk who hide behind media. Don’t speak on nobody death that wouldn’t talk to you if you had his #,” Vikings cornerback Dwight McGlothern wrote.
Vikings cornerback Byron Murphy noted: “Your a weirdo and don’t know (expletive)! Been a solid dude since the day he walked in the building. Your interviews and your media platform is garbage anyways. Get off social media you a clown dawg!” “I don’t understand why people do things for clicks.. you got a fu**ed up soul… you speaking on a bunch of he say she say shit… you don’t even know the man….” former wide receiver Dez Bryant wrote.
