Domenico DiSandro, better known as “Big Dom,” in his capacity as consigliere of the Philadelphia Eagles, arranged a meeting between the team’s wide receiver, A.J. Brown, and Jeffrey Lurie, the franchise owner. There were several issues the two needed to discuss regarding the near future, especially with the important games coming up.

The Eagles have a winning record of 7-2. Their only two losses this NFL season were against the Denver Broncos (21-17) and the New York Giants (34-17). This is why the reigning Super Bowl champions feel comfortable this season; however, players like the aforementioned wide receiver aren’t resting on their laurels and waiting for the storm to hit, and they’re determined not to be satisfied with the bare minimum they’ve achieved so far.

A.J. Brown expresses discontent with Eagles’ lack of targets

The Philadelphia Eagles are in a delicate situation with A.J. Brown. The veteran wide receiver hasn’t hesitated to express his discontent with the lack of targets this season. It seems his tactics worked so well that they caught the attention of Philadelphia’s owner. Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie met with Brown during a 10-minute workout this week, according to ESPN’s Sal Paolantonio.

Lurie attempted to address Brown’s public frustrations with his role in Philadelphia’s offense. The meeting itself was reportedly arranged by Eagles security chief Dom “Big Dom” DiSandro. Brown reportedly promised Lurie he would stop complaining on social media, according to a team official. However, Brown also told Lurie that he “just wants to be part of the offense” and is frustrated by the situation.

Eagles host the Lions for Week 11 of the NFL season at Lincoln Financial Field
On one side, the reigning champions look to extend their winning streak to three games, despite not playing their best, knowing that results matter more than style. Jalen Hurts arrives with 1,860 passing yards, 16 touchdown passes, and only one interception. DeVonta Smith and Saquon Barkley, the team’s leaders in receiving and rushing yards respectively, will look to penetrate and exploit the seventh-best defense in the NFL.

For the Lions, it’s an opportunity to dispel the doubts surrounding them after losses to the Chiefs and Vikings. Furthermore, with the fight for the top spot in the division heating up, defeating the Eagles in Philadelphia would provide a significant morale boost heading into the final stretch of the regular season. They will have a significant loss, as tight end Sam LaPorta, second on the team in receiving yards with 40 receptions and three touchdowns, will miss the game due to a severe back injury.
