There are a lot of ways to describe Philadelphia Eagles franchise quarterback Jalen Hurts. All-Pro, Pro Bowler, Super Bowl Champion, and Super Bowl MVP are just a few ways to describe the superstar.  One incoming rookie from the 2025 Draft class has a different way to describe him.

Former Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe has always seen Hurts as a leader and mentor of sorts during his time in college. Now, as he prepares to be drafted in a few weeks, Milroe is explaining what about Hurts makes him the perfect quarterback to mirror.

Speaking on NFL Live, Milroe made it clear that Hurts is the pinnacle of what is right at the quarterback position.  “What I take from him is seeing how right looks like. Throughout the whole period of time, with him keeping his head down, continues to grind, keep refining his skillset, and just keep elevating. To me, that’s important in itself, whether it’s on the field and off the field, you look at the impact he had off the field — people misinterpret that as well,” Milroe shared. “As a player that aspires to go to the NFL, it’s always unique that each starting quarterback in the league does something right.

They have a certain skill set and a certain presence about them that makes them a starting quarterback. And he’s definitely one of them.”  Milroe is a borderline first round pick in the 2025 Draft and could be the apple to many teams eyes at this point.  As Hurts celebrates his first Super Bowl title, the Eagles quarterback appears to be the signal caller that many teams are looking to emulate moving forward.
