Travis Kelce’s ex girlfriend Kayla Nicole has defended her post about Philadelphia Eagles star Jalen Hurts after getting into “trouble”.  Nicole dated the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, 34, between 2017 and 2022. Kelce has since moved on to superstar singer Taylor Swift, with the pair seemingly smitten, with the 12-time Grammy Award-winner a regular at NFL games.

However, according to Marca, Kelce was reportedly mad that his ex Nicole would try to shoot her shot at rival Hurts, who had recently gone public with his girlfriend, following a post on X last November. “Fly Eagles fly,” Nicole said on a video of Hurts courtside at an NBA game.  “Everyone has eyes. I got in so much trouble for that,” Kayla revealed on the ‘Behind the Likes’ podcast. “But that is my personality. If you know me, my intentions are pure, and also, I’m a girls’ girl, he has a girlfriend. I have no intention of trying to slide in there.”

Nicole has also revealed her desire to move away from dating sports stars. “I’ll never say never, but I fully, wholeheartedly believe that I am out of the athlete stage,” Nicole added. “I would love to just date someone that – I do think that I am attracted to men in positions of power and I also think that those types of men are attracted to me, so I would love to date an executive of a record label or a movie producer so that we can go to the sporting events.

“Let date night be courtside at the Lakers game, that’s my kind of guy. I don’t really need to go to any more sporting events because I have a jersey on with someone’s name on the back – I did that, it was fun, I’m good.”

Kelce has bigger fish to fry with the reigning Super Bowl champions still in the hunt to retain their crown. Kansas City travel to Baltimore to take on the Ravens in the AFC Championship game on Sunday. And for the second round in a row, the Chiefs head into the game as underdogs.  “I ain’t thinking about a single one I did, I already accomplished,” Kelce said. “I’m thinking about this one on Sunday and I want it more than I’ve ever wanted one in my life.”

Kelce, who came up big for Kansas City last weekend against the Buffalo Bills with two touchdowns, added: “There’s nothing like playoff football. You could feel that energy the week before against Miami at Arrowhead. It doesn’t matter who you are, where you play, if you rally together with the men and women that you’ve got and the team that you’ve got, like I said you can play anywhere you want to. You got to bring that juice no matter who’s in the crowd.”
